Unlock the fretboard like Jimi did with ‘Hendrix Unlocked: The Art of Playing Out of Chords’, which is a one-day deep dive into the expressive, chord-based approach that defined his sound—where rhythm and lead blur into one.

You’ll learn how to break free from boxy pentatonic lines and start weaving melody, fills, and embellishments directly out of chord positions, just like Hendrix on iconic tracks like ‘Castles Made of Sand’ and ‘The Wind Cries Mary’.

Please Note:

  • The workshop in on Sunday 6th September, starting at 2.00pm and finishing around 9.00pm
  • This workshop is for guitarists who are 18 and over.

Hendrix Unlocked is a ‘Safe Guitar’ environment! We are supportive of all, no matter what level you may be at. Guitar Breaks is all about helping you feel comfortable so that everyone brings something positive to the workshop.

​Hendrix Unlocked focuses on Jimi’s unrivalled rhythm playing, learning key songs. You get the chance to play alongside other guitarists, receiving guidance and advice from Tim on how to generate those killer tones.

Tim Daley:

Tim has been playing and studying the blues for over 40 years, developing a deep understanding of the style across its many forms. His influences range from legends such as B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton through to modern blues masters including Stevie Ray Vaughan and Joe Bonamassa.

A passionate teacher as well as performer, Tim has built a worldwide audience through his YouTube and Patreon platforms, where his clear, practical teaching style and authentic approach to the blues have earned praise from guitarists around the globe. He is also the author of two successful blues guitar tuition books, helping students develop the skills and understanding needed to become confident blues players.

Tim runs Guitar Breaks workshops in the Midlands, offering players the opportunity to immerse themselves in the blues, improve their playing, and learn directly from one of the UK’s most respected blues guitar educators.

HENDRIX UNLOCKED is on SUNDAY 6th SEPTEMBER 2026.

You will be based in OIL, with fellow guitar players.

  • Break for something to eat at 5.00pm
  • You can order a pizza in advance, or on the day
  • Back at it by 6.00pm
  • The Evening Session will finish around 9.00pm
