- Repertoire Building: Explore a selection of classic and contemporary blues songs, enhancing your understanding and appreciation of the genre.
- Get The Most Out Of The Pentatonic Scale: Learn to mix major and minor blues and pentatonic scales.
- Making The Changes – By just making some changes to the pentatonic and blues scales, you will discover how to outline the changes in the blues.
- Chromaticism – Learn how to add chromaticism to spice up your blues and rock playing.
- Essential Rhythm Guitar Moves: Focus on crucial rhythm techniques chords, and patterns that form the backbone of blues.
- Focus on Musicality: After all, we are playing music, but playing musically takes time and effort. Learn how to tap into your creativity and musicality.

Matt Schofield:
British born and now US-based, Matt continues to push the frontiers and reshape the boundaries of the British Blues tradition. A multi-award winning guitar virtuoso, singer, songwriter, producer and band leader, after more than 30 years of performing, and 20 years into his solo career, Schofield’s impact as one of the most influential and distinctive guitarists of his generation is unquestionable.
Along with a storied career that has taken him and his band to nearly 30 countries worldwide comes awards, industry and critical acclaim – three time “British Blues Guitarist of the Year”, “British Blues Album of the Year” and the first guitarist inducted into the “British Blues Awards Hall of Fame”. Mojo Magazine “Blues Album of the Year”and Guitar & Bass Magazines “Top Ten British Blues Guitarist of All Time” alongside Eric Clapton and Peter Green.

A one day workshop, held over two locations, filled with learning and playing with blues legend: Matt Schofield.
Choose between:
- Saturday 16th May at Snug Creative Hub, Aldershot, GU12 4RH
OR
- Sunday 17th May at Albright Hussey Manor, Shrewsbury, SY4 3AF
- Masterclass starts at 10am both days
- Break for lunch at 1.00pm
- If attending the Shrewsbury Masterclass you will be able to purchase a pizza at the venue.
- Back at it by 2.00pm
- Both days will finish around 4.00pm
