The Camp
Matt’s Blues Camp will focus on developing your technique, commanding the fretboard and taking a creative approach to your blues playing, looking at iconic blues players and tracks and lifting the lid on ‘playing the changes’.
Guitar Breaks is your opportunity to spend a week in beautiful surroundings learning, jamming and hanging with some of today’s greatest guitarists.
Mike Goodman
Mike is one of the UK’s most experienced exponents of the guitar. He has toured live, written music for soundtracks, is an MD for artists, recorded numerous sessions, is an experienced tutor and has endorsed and demonstrated for over 25 years. Mike continues to be heavily in demand as a live guitarist and educator.
Alongside performing, writing and recording, Mike has taught guitar for over 30 years and is a qualified and experienced tutor. He was also an extremely popular contributor to Guitarist magazine for 10 years.
Mike is a mentor at Guitar Breaks and therefore is absolutely central to many of our guitar workshops. He is here to help you become a better player. He also happens to be a top chap!
Thursday night is gig night in Lippiano!
Discover Lippiano while checking out one of Matt’s solos from his previous workshop. With Mike Goodman on rhythm guitar, Alessio Boncompagni on drums and Andrea Matteaggi on bass.
Venue
Our venue and accommodation for this camp is the award-winning traditional 15th century Italian manor house Villa Pia Family Hotel located on the stunning Tuscany / Umbria border.
Set in its own grounds and next to a medieval castle in the hilltop village of Lippiano, Villa Pia is the perfect ‘get away’ location.
